Megan Hoffman
Megan Hoffman is the owner and founder of Mission Dance Center. Megan has been training in dance for 17 years now. She has trained with elite instructors and choreographers in the styles of ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, Irish, Hawaiian, acrobatics, and tap, where she found her specialty. Megan has been teaching for 5 years while winning many awards for her choreography. Megan completed her certification in Dance Studio Ownership in the spring of 2023. A message from Megan; "I am so excited that my lifelong dream of owning a dance studio is finally becoming a reality. I am so grateful for the opportunity to spread my love for dance to aspiring dancers of all ages. I find so much joy in watching my students grow and I am very excited to create an environment where dancers can exceed their expectations and grow in a positive and uplifting environment!"
Erika Chieca
Erika Chieca is a Michigan-based dancer and choreographer. She studied dance at Flex Point Performing Arts Center in Farmington Hills under the direction of Sally and Nicole Doerr where she found her love of dance. Throughout her training, Erika has had the opportunity to train in many styles of dance such as contemporary, tap, lyrical, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and musical theatre. As a part of the competitive team at Flex Point, Erika has been a part of many award winning routines from choreographers such as Adam Austin, Hanna Brictson, Devon Campbell, Brian Rabenda, Angelina and Karlo Familara, and many more. As a teacher and performing artist, Erika wants to inspire her students to grow as technicians but most importantly as artists. Erika is excited to be a part of Mission Dance Center's first year and can't wait to work with the students!
Denise Schilling
Ms. Denise was 5 when she started dancing and this is when her love for Hawaiian and Tahitian dance began. During her years as a student, she was part of the Senior Hawaiian Line Competition team. As part of that team she also performed all over the Detroit Metro area and attended yearly Hula workshops. Currently, Ms. Denise does her best to travel to Hawaii as often as she can to continue her education and learn even more about the Hawaiian culture and the Hula. Ms. Denise has also traveled to Tahiti and has studied Tahitian dance on the island of Bora Bora. Ms. Denise graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. She has studied and performed Hawaiian and Tahitian dance for over 40 years and has experience teaching students of all skill levels. Ms. Denise is excited to share her passion for Hawaiian and Tahitian dance with all her students. She has a true love for this beautiful dance form and is very excited to share the Aloha spirit with you!
Abbeigh Soleil
Abbeigh Soleil is a Metro-Detroit native with 18 years of dance experience is a multitude of disciplines. She has studied her craft under some of the country's leading choreographers ranging from Michigan to Los Angeles to New York. She took her professional career to the NBA Detroit Pistons Dance Team where she has enjoyed not only dance but choreography, modeling, community and commercial work. In addition to dance, she is currently studying early childhood education. Abbeigh's biggest advice for young dancers is to stay humble, show up on time, and be ready to work hard for what you want! Being disciplined in the art you love offers many life rewards!
Elyssa Haas
Elyssa Haas, hailing from Metro-Detroit, boasts a decade of dance expertise spanning various styles. Her journey has seen her training under esteemed choreographers across the nation, from Michigan to East and West Coast. Transitioning into the professional realm, she found her groove with the NBA Pistons Dance Team, enriching her skills further. Alongside her dance pursuits, Elyssa remains passionate about Mid-American Pom Pom, competing with Atomic Pom for the past three years and now lending her expertise in choreography. Outside of her dance commitments she shares her knowledge at Mission Dance Center while pursuing studies in Interior Design and Accounting. Her sage advice to fellow dancers? Stay humble and embrace the perpetual journey of learning.
